JBL Synchros S500 Vs S700

Excellent Audio Performance, Stellar Bass
In terms of output quality, JBL Synchros S500 and JBL Synchros S700 are basically identical. You can hardly find any distinction in their audio output. They are both powered by premium 50mm drivers with the PureBass technology. As the effect, they deliver excellent sounds. They are especially powerful in the bass. The bass is amazingly clear, deep, and solid. The midrange and treble are actually quite decent, but some people may feel the mids and highs to be a little muffled. Nonetheless, you can easily adjust the equalizer a little bit to achieve the desired crispiness. (see also: JBL Synchros E40BT Vs E50BT)

The frequency response is pleasantly accurate, and this is enhanced even further by the proprietary LiveStage signal processing technology, providing a superbly realistic and immersive audio experience. In addition, both models have the active noise cancellation feature. They are reliable to isolate you from the outside noise quite well. Unless there is a very loud sound coming, you won’t be bothered by the environment. The active noise cancellation and LiveStage are powered by batteries, but these headphones can still work without a battery (passive mode).

Some Different Features
While the two are very identical, you should be aware that they use different batteries. JBL Synchros S500 is powered by two AAA batteries, able to last up to 20 hours in the active mode. Two AAA batteries are included in the bundle as a starter. On the other hand, JBL Synchros S700 comes with a built-in rechargeable Lithium-ion battery that has a maximum runtime of 28 hours. It comes with the cable for USB charging.

Interestingly, these pairs of headphones are foldable. Their cables are also detachable, allowing for easy travel and storage. They each comes with a protective case, a universal three-button remote/mic, and a three-button remote/mic cable specialized for iOS devices.
