In this article, we are going to discuss the comparisons between two affordable Logitech headset models. We present you Logitech H800 and Logitech H820e, two highly popular wireless headsets from the renowned manufacturer Logitech. Well, even though they are similar in that they are both wireless and classifiable as affordable, they actually use different wireless technologies, and Logitech H820e is usually a little bit more expensive than Logitech H800. So, should you get Logitech H800 or Logitech H820e? Find out after reading the comparisons below!
These two models have very different designs. With Logitech H800, you get a compact and lightweight headset that is foldable. The foldable design is cool; it is very easy to be brought along for mobile usage. The headband has a thick padding to keep your head comfy on prolonged wearing sessions, and the on-ear ear cups also have very thick and soft padding. The ear pads fit very well on the ears and are extremely comfortable. The mic is rather short, though.
On the other hand, Logitech H820e also has a padded headband and extra-thick ear pads. However, the pads are covered by leatherette. As the effect, the headset becomes more durable and much easier to keep clean. However, some people don’t like the covers because the covers make the headset hotter and not comfortable when worn for a long time. Logitech H820e has a significantly longer mic that is flexible, allowing you to adjust the direction as much as possible. However, keep in mind that Logitech H820e is not foldable. It comes with a docking station.
Due to the different wireless technologies, they also have different maximum range. Logitech H800 works with Bluetooth, and the maximum wireless range is only 40ft or 12m between the headset and audio source. You may need to attach a Bluetooth dongle on a computer that has no Bluetooth connectivity. Meanwhile, Logitech H820e works with DECT, which allows a maximum wireless range of 300ft or 100m between the headset and the docking station – the docking station connects to your computer using cables. The Bluetooth headset is relatively simpler to use and compatible with more devices, including tablets and smartphones, but if you only need to connect to your PC alone then the DECT headset’s longer range can be much more useful.
Logitech H800 can last for up to six hours per charge. Logitech H820e can last for up to ten hours.
Both models have decent audio quality. They produce crisp and clear sounds. They don’t have much bass, though. Still, they are great for voice chats and listening to music.
