The giant commercial company, Amazon, has recently drawn quite a lot of interest due to their latest product, which is Amazon Echo. The product is a very interesting speaker due to its intelligence – besides because of Alec Baldwin’s appearance in its popular Super Bowl commercial. And somewhat surprisingly, it is being sold at a relatively affordable price, comparable to various Bose SoundLink products. Because of this reason, we may find it intriguing to be compared with Bose SoundLink series in order to see which one holds the better value for our money. This time, we are going to compare Amazon Echo with Bose SoundLink Color. See also : Amazon Echo Vs Amazon Tap.
The primary reason for why we are interested in getting Amazon Echo is, certainly, its super-smart interactive artificial intelligence. Alexa, the name of its engine, is built on a cloud system, so that it keeps evolving in power. It quickly adapts to every user’s personal style of usage. We can command it just by our voice; we simply say “Alexa, shuffle playlist Mike,” if we want to listen to playlist Mike in shuffle, and “Alexa, ask HuffPost for headlines,” if we want it to tell us today’s headlines of Huffington Post. Amazon Echo offers an extremely practical, handy, and lively user experience. On the other hand, the slightly cheaper Bose SoundLink Color doesn’t have anything similar.
Unfortunately, in terms of portability, Bose SoundLink Color is somehow better than Amazon Echo, at least under some certain circumstances. If you want to have a speaker that can be brought along in travels, Bose SoundLink Color is more viable. It doesn’t support Wi-Fi, but it has Bluetooth and a bunch of port choices. And, it uses a battery that lasts up to 8 hours. Amazon Echo only relies on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, with no port except for the power port, and is without battery.
