Bose QuietComfort 25 Vs 15

Bose’s headphones are always interesting to talk about. If you seek a decent pair of headphones, many people would gladly and confidently suggest you to consider getting one model of the brand. The Bose QuietComfort series is especially popular on the market due to the excellent noise reduction feature. After the success with Bose QuietComfort 15, the company has decided to update the model with Bose QuietComfort 25. For now, both models are still widely available. Bose QuietComfort 15, as you may have suspected, has become a cheaper option, whereas Bose QuietComfort 25 requires slightly more bucks. Should you get Bose QuietComfort 15 or Bose QuietComfort 25? Should you upgrade to Bose QuietComfort 25 from your current Bose QuietComfort 15? Let’s see the comparisons!

Bose QuietComfort 25 Vs 15

Comparing the looks, Bose QuietComfort is certainly better than Bose QuietComfort 15. The older model may appear very plain to some people, with the headband colored black and the back of the earcups silver. Make no mistake; it looks nice, it just lacks the uniqueness and fingerprint that can set it apart from other models. On the other hand, Bose QuietComfort 25 has the interior of the ear cups colored blue, while the back is gray. At least, the company has breathed some lively color to the newer model. The overall size and weight of the newer model are more-or-less similar to the predecessor. It still works with a detachable cable that features an inline mic and remote. However, Bose has eliminated the Hi/Lo switch. The feature is available in QC 15, allowing you to change the volume level of the headphones. In QC 25, the headphones are fixed in the equivalent of the Hi setting, which essentially makes it into a loud pair of headphones.

Performance and Output Quality
However, there is one great change that definitely goes to Bose QuietComfort 25’s favor. In the previous model, you can’t use the headphones without turning on the active noise cancellation. This issue becomes a problem when you want to enjoy some music but still want to hear the outside world as well – or when the battery is depleted. The headphones will become unusable. Bose QuietComfort 25 still requires a battery to turn on the active noise cancellation, but you can still use it without turning on the feature or without battery.

In terms of output quality, both are excellent. They deliver true-to-life sounds. Clear vocals, precise guitars, clean bass, crisp percussion, all with the subtle details that you may have never noticed before.
