JBL Charge 3 Features
The design of JBL Charge 3 has been improved since the original Charge, the Charge 3 used a mesh fabric exterior similar to UE Boom 2. The complete measurement of Charge 3 is 8.4 x 3.5 inches, which is bigger than its previous version Charge 2 and UE Boom 2. This speaker size is a bit bigger than common portable speaker but you will still able to carry it around in one hand.
JBL Charge 3 controls are placed at the top panel, those controls are Bluetooth pairing, volume control, play/pause and power button. There is also JBL Connect button to pair two JBL speakers to play the same song. At the back of the speaker there is a snap-shut cover that protects the 3.5mm aux input, micro USB connection to charge the speaker and USB connection to charge your mobile devices. When you used the speaker battery to charge your device, the play time will also decrease.
The performance of JBL Charge 3 is indeed what you can expect from JBL. In the low the Charge 3 has a strong low end and might be too powerful for some people. Combined with its waterproof ability, the Charge 3 was definitely suitable for pool party. In the high, the speaker perform just as good, even when played in loud volume the sound never become too harsh. However this speaker doesn’t perform as good in the mids, because the sound somehow a little muddles, which might be the effect of the waterproof fabric.
