About JBL Charge 3
The JBL Charge 3 is a Bluetooth speaker by the famous JBL. This speaker is the improved version of its former JBL Charge 2. One of the new improvements are the IPX7 waterproof feature, which means now you can submerged the speaker underwater for about 30 minutes. The shape itself, doesn’t differ much with other JBL speakers, it still has the same cylindrical form and has bass radiators on both side of the speaker to boost the sound. The set of buttons also very similar, which all placed at the top of the unit. Those button are made of soft plastics and slightly raised above the speaker. JBL Charge 3 Features
When compared to its previous version Charge 2, the JBL Charge 3 weigh a little heavier for about 20%. However the new version has a longer battery life with impressively 20 hours nonstop music and also has speakerphone capabilities. The battery also able to be used to charge your portable device when on the way. However using it to charge will also decrease the battery and shorten the playtime, the size is also too big if you want to utilize it as a Power bank. The most important part about speaker is of course the ability to deliver good sound. Compare to the previous version Charge 2, the Charge 3 is able to produce louder sound and bass. In the mids, the speaker is not able to perform as good. They sound a little muddled, which might be the effect of the waterproof fabric. JBL Xtreme is one of the most powerful Bluetooth speaker you can find in the market. The speaker is packed with many features and the exorbitant amount of audio goodness. The JBL Xtreme is pricier than other JBL Bluetooth speaker and is indeed bigger than the common JBL speaker, for example the Charge 3 reviewed above. The both speaker share almost all of their features but some of those were enhanced in the JBL Xtreme. Just looking at its size, you will know that the unit promise power.

The material used to construct the JBL Xtreme is a heavyweight material, so this speaker will definitely heavier than its smaller version brothers, it weigh about 2.1 kg. At each side of the speaker, there are soft rubber attached to give some resistance when accidentally bump against something solid. Similar to its brother JBL Charge 3, the JBL Xtreme also has dual bass radiators in both side. At the top of the speaker, you will find a tough, brushed metal hooks that can be used to hook the speaker with strap it comes with.

The buttons in JBL Xtreme are similar to what you can find in many modern Bluetooth speaker out there. The unique new feature in this speaker is that it can be paired with other compatible JBL speaker wirelessly, so just in case if you plan on having a party with other friends with JBL Xtreme, you can make both speakers play the same song together. The battery life of this speaker allow it to be played as long as 15 hours.

The sound quality of the JBL Xtreme is pretty good, however the sound somehow becomes slightly stutter at the beginning of the song, even though it only last for a second, this may affect the mood. In the low, the sound sometimes blend into the mids. However the passive radiators on both side will keep the low tight. The bass is very easy to distinguish despite the size of the speaker. In the mids, the voice is pretty clear and perfect. In the highs the sound tend to become harsh but this can be fix by lowering the sound a little bit.
