Logitech G430 Vs HyperX Cloud 2
This is the comparison between the Logitech G430 and the HyperX Cloud 2 headset. Both the headsets has some pros and cons but the Cloud 2 has more features than the Logitech G430. As like that the price of both the headsets differs.
OVERVIEW
Logitech G430
The headset design of the headset is simple and as same like all the other Logitech headsets. The comfort is also good. The audio quality of the headset is fine and nothing special. Read also: Steelseries Arctis 7 Vs HyperX Cloud Fight.
HyperX Cloud 2
The design is something same as like the other HyperX headsets but it looks stylish and also simple like the headphones. You will get some more features than the G430. The comfort is also very nice and the build quality is good. The sound of the headset and the mic is also good enough.
DESIGN
Logitech G430
The build quality of these is decent. It is pretty much the exact same build as the Logitech G230. It has an all plastic build, it does have a little bit of metal on the inside when you expand the headphones.

HyperX Cloud 2
The frame of the HyperX cloud 2 gaming headset is made out of aluminum and it feels really solid to the touch. The construction of the headset feels really solid, so you don’t have to panic if you drop the headset.
COMFORT
Logitech G430
Padding on the ear cups is kind of rough but it’s nothing horrible and it also does allow for really great breath-ability. So, your ears don’t overheat. The joint that allows the headphones to rotate does feel kind of weak, so you would be careful with that.
HyperX Cloud 2
One more aspect at which this headphone really shines is that it’s extremely comfortable because of the memory foam that’s used. You can easily use it for longer sessions without having to deal with tiredness and head fatigue.
FEATURES
Logitech G430
The cable is a braided cable which I like a lot. The mic can be moved up and moved back down and you can actually articulate it closer and farther away from your mouth to get the right sound. The control panel has a mic mute switch, a headphone volume control, and a clip on the back, so you can clip it to your shirt.
The surround sound in this is only compatible with Windows machines. So, if you’re using a Mac or a Linux machine, you’re not going to get the surround sound functionality. I also want to note that this headset does offer live monitoring and I mean you can hear in the headphones that you speak in the mic and that is not something I’ve come across on many other gaming headsets and I think that’s a pretty awesome feature.
HyperX Cloud 2
Inside the box with the headphones, you will get an extra set of ear pads. These ear pads are made out of fabric, so you have the option to choose between the synthetic leather ones and the fabric ones. The detachable microphone is included inside the box and because it’s detachable, it means that you can remove it from your headset and use your headset just as regular headphones if you please so.
A small thing that really caught my attention is the included airplane adapter which is a really nice addition to the whole set because it enables you to use your headset on the airplane without having to buy an extra adapter. There is also a really nice carry bag included in the box which you can use to protect your headset while you’re traveling. The last but more important thing is the USB audio controller which enables you to increase or decrease the volume of your headset and microphone and it also has a button to enable or disable the virtual 7.1 surround sound.
SOUND
Logitech G430
The headphones have 40 millimeter drivers and they list a frequency response of 20 Hertz to 20 kilohertz. When I was listening to music on this headset, I didn’t notice any frequencies that stuck out as too loud or any frequencies that were missing. So, I think they’re perfectly fine in that apartment.
There’s also USB sound adapter that is included with the headset. The normal sound of the headset is hundred times better than when I was using the Logitech sound adapter. I should note this headset is listed as compatible with Windows machines. When you download the drivers, you can make adjustments to this sound card and avoid the crappy sound.
HyperX Cloud 2
If you talk about the sound quality of the headset, this is where the headset really shines. In my opinion, the sound coming from the 53 millimeter drivers is really great with a nice low, good mids and a crisp high. Just remember to turn off the 7.1 surround sound when you’re listening to music because it just sounds terrible and it’s really not made for them.
The surround sound in my opinion, it sounds great. When you’re in game and when you enable it by pressing the 7.1 surround sound button, the audio suddenly feels more immersive. Keep in mind that it’s virtual surround sound, so it’s still using only two drivers.

The design of both the headsets is nice and good. Comfort-wise, I think the HyperX Cloud 2 will be good and also in build quality. The sound of the HyperX Cloud 2 will be better than the Logitech G430. But, like that the price also differs. The price of the Cloud 2 is double the money of the Logitech G430. So, If you have a budget of $85 you can go for Clod 2 otherwise, the Logitech G430 is also good enough for that price.
